About the institution
Fundacion Proteccion Animal Ecuador (PAE) dedicates all its efforts to eliminate animal mistreating and to promote respect to all animal lives. The principal objectives are: achieve the approval of an animal protection law, educate people about responsible ownership, technical control of dog and cat population, improving lives of rescued animals at the refuge, and implementing campaigns regarding various subjects. PAE is affiliated to the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WASP).
Description of the work
You can offer you help in varied activities:
- Planning and realizing campaigns to diffuse information about the mission and activities of PAE
- Planning and realizing campaigns about responsible ownership and adoption of rescued pets
- Finding funds and having a good relationship with donors
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Cleaning, feeding and activities of recreation to animals in the refuge
- Veterinary assistance
- Assisting in rescues after a denounce has taken place
- Creation of advertising material
Keep in mind
Your experience will the best if you are a dog-lover! The great majority of rescued animals at the refuge are dogs. The number of volunteer programs in Ecuador dedicated to animals is extremely small, since most projects involve social activities. This opportunity is unique and your help will be invaluable.
