Description of the work
Fundacion Tierra Nueva has 2 children centers, with kids from 1 to 5 years old. Each center can receive 170 kids. The volunteer can assist the workers in the diverse tasks at the centers, which include: early stimulation, pre-scholar preparation for the older kids, helping the kids to do their work at class, teaching them games and songs, helping with their nutrition and hygiene, etc. In addition, in the afternoons the centers receive older kids (scholars) in order to give them lunch as help them with their homework.
Keep in mind
You are going to work with kids who very fast make strong bonds. They will miss you and feel sad if you don’t show up to work and it is important that you with anticipation tell them when you are going to leave.
Time: Minimum 2 weeks
Working schedule: The centers are open from 08:00 to 16:30
The schedule can be flexible
Board and Lodging:
No board.
If you like you can have the same lunch with the kids.
Costs: $20
