About the institution
Fundación Tierra Nueva was founded by the father José Carollo (1931-2005) in 1970, and began offering medical and day-care center services at the north of Quito. However, most necessities of the people with low economical resources are located at the south of the city, so Padre Carollo responded to their urgent necessities. Today the foundation has been working for 32 years and it has become one of the most respected organizations in Quito. Its mission is to offer integral services and innovative and permanent projects to vulnerable sectors and general population in general to enhance their quality of life.

Description of the work
You will work attending patients in different areas like: human medicine, emergency, Gynecology, Pediatric, Family medicine, General Surgery.

Fundación Tierra Nueva has a hospital call “Un canto a la vida” (a song to live). It is located to the South of Quito. The volunteer work at hospital will be attending and helping patients in different areas like: human medicine, emergency, Gynecology, Pediatric, Family medicine, General Surgery. Also they will go with the doctors to attend patients in different poor communities in the area. They will do some lectures about health.
